We're always here to support you and ensure your event is a success, however with volunteers like you offering to do the legwork on these events it saves one of our most valuable resources - staff time! SAS supporter Ray Matthews has done a fab job organising a music and comedy night in aid of SAS at the Driftwood Spas in St Agnes. Doors open at 9pm - head along and you'll be treated to music from Sam Naylor, Bhoda Zaffa and Deluded Drop as well comedy from Callum Waight! Its £2 on the door and money raised will be donated to SAS. |

A1Surf is proud to present its first surf movie and party night on Wednesday 3 December at Walkabout in Brighton, in association with WAVEDREAMER.co.uk, and surf movie maker and former Brighton resident Richard Gregory.
And being Brighton they have decided to bring the classic Brighton surf movie NOTCALIFORNIA back to the big screen, some six years after it was made.
The free event celebrates the launch of NOTCALIFORNIA on DVD and includes micro movies, from the bonus material which were filmed in Devon, Cornwall and Ireland. The DVD will be available to buy on the night.
As well as the movies, there will also be a prize raffle, with your chance to win some goodies kindly donated by Nineplus, Chilled Turtle and WAVEDREAMER. Proceeds raised will be donated to Surfers Against Sewage. |

UK kitesurf champion and PKRA World Tour rider Johara Sykes-Davies was pondering over some questionable items floating past her one day, and decided to get together with SAS and the Turbulence Extreme Sports crew to give us at SAS a hand. So an original Krunk carbon twin tip board from Fuerteventura, kindly donated by Charlie from Flexifoil Kites, has accompanied Johara to every 2008 PKRA event and all the PKRA riders, event crew, plus some other kiting celebrities have signed the one side of the board and stickered the other. The board is to be encased by North Walian carpenter Derek 'Degsy' Link and will be surrounded by photos of its journey.

11 October 2008 SAS supporter Phil Bristow will be tackling a nine mile swim along the River Fal in Cornwall to raise money for Surfers Against Sewage and WaterAid. And to make things all the more challenging Phil will be swimming up the river, against the current, from the mouth of the River Fal, to Truro. Footprint are launching their brand new Surfing Britain and Ireland and Surfing Europe Guides at the Blue Bar, Porthtowan, Cornwall. Tickets are £2 on the door which includes a free beer. Footprint have also organised a raffle with some amazing prizes including an O'Neill wetsuit, Brittany Ferry travel and much more - all proceeds from the raffle will be going to SAS. |

The Acoustic Cafe Truro is hosting a music night at the Redannick Theatre, Truro in aid of SAS between 8pm-11pm on Saturday 2 August. There are
some great acts playing on the night including, The Ammunition Acoustic, In Vino Veritas and James Bunce. All the acts play for nothing and all profits

Cornwall College Surf Science Jamboree 2008. The students on the Surf Science course at Cornwall College have organised a Surf Jamboree at Lusty Glaze, Cornwall, celebrating 50 years of surfing in Great Britain. Incorporated within in the event will be the Cornwall College annual surf contest including, open, women's, longboarding, bodyboarding and masters heats. There will also be children's entertainment, a BBQ and bar, as well as an after party with great
